Line Item 0001; QTY 32 sets Purchase MB Broom Cassette Part# URB29-CW265224WRF (NO-equal due to accelerated wear problems on MB cores this part# must be used). The MB core comes with nylon inserts designed to absorb all the wear that the extrusions have incurred with replacement cost being a fraction of that expense. Nylon insert replacement is now required and is available on the new MB core which has a five year warranty. In order to maintain the 5-year warranty for these cores, MB cassettes must be used with these cores. Use of other brands would void the warranty and cause excessive wear to the core. Prior to 2005, broom cassettes were solicitated as ?brand name or equal? but because of the damage sustained to the runway sweepers, it has been determined that brand name is in the best interest of the government.
