The Illinois Department of Natural Resources Office of Land Management is soliciting bids for the Tunnel Hill State Trail Fencing Project in Vienna, Illinois. The project involves the removal of an existing fence and the installation of approximately 520 feet of 6-foot high galvanized chain link security fence. Technical specifications require 9 gauge fabric with a 2 oz. galvanized coating, Schedule 40 galvanized steel posts, and redwood-colored bottom locking double wall chain link fence slats installed across the entire length of the new fencing. Required insurance includes general commercial liability of 1 million dollars per occurrence and 2 million dollars aggregate, auto liability of 1 million dollars per occurrence, and statutory worker's compensation. Performance and payment bonds are mandatory if the project cost exceeds 50,000 dollars. The contractor must adhere to prevailing wage laws and provide a one-year warranty from the date of goods acceptance. All work is subject to inspection by the State of Illinois and federal representatives, and the contract is contingent upon the availability of funds.
