AI Contract Overview
The City of Tampa is seeking qualified firms to provide professional construction engineering and inspection services for multiple water and wastewater infrastructure projects funded through the PIPES program, initiated in 2019. These projects include work at the David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility, Howard F. Curren AWTP, and various wastewater pumping stations, with some currently under construction and others in the design phase. Due to the complexity and volume of these projects, the Department requires additional support to oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely completion, with services tailored to project needs and staff availability. Interested firms must submit a comprehensive electronic application in searchable PDF format by November 20, 2025, including a completed RFQ Transmittal Memorandum, a Letter of Interest, a Statement of Qualifications, and supplemental materials for evaluation. The selection process emphasizes experience with comparable projects, qualifications, workload capacity, past performance, and commitment to small, local, and disadvantaged business enterprise participation. The contract, with a value estimated between 5 and 15 million dollars, will be managed by Jim Greiner of the City of Tampa, and inquiries can be directed to his contact information. The project aims to ensure the successful delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure improvements across Tampa.
