27-0013 Courtland Drive Corridor Study

The City of Fredericksburg, Virginia, is soliciting proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to conduct the Courtland Drive Connector Study. The primary objective of this project is to develop planning-level concepts, impact assessments, and cost estimates for a new multi-modal east-west connection linking Courtland Drive and Learning Lane. This initiative aims to improve local mobility and provide safer access to the City's Learning Campus, specifically Lafayette and Gladys West Elementary Schools. The selected firm will be required to evaluate at least two feasible alignment alternatives, provide 15% design-level conceptual plans, and perform capacity and safety analyses using software such as Synchro or PTV Vissim for existing and 2030 future conditions.
