27-008 FY26 LMIG Resurfacing Project

The City of Sandy Springs is soliciting sealed bids for the FY2026 LMIG Resurfacing Project, which involves milling and resurfacing approximately 22.35 miles of roadway. The scope of work includes milling to a minimum depth of 1.5 inches, patching with 12.5 mm or 19 mm asphalt, and paving with 12.5 mm asphalt at 165 lbs./SY. Additional requirements include crack sealing per GDOT Supplemental Specification Section 407, the installation of temporary and permanent pavement striping, and the reinstallation of traffic detection loops and Sensys pucks. Selected contractors must provide performance and payment bonds totaling 100 percent of the contract price and maintain extensive insurance coverages, including a 3 million dollar umbrella policy. Work is generally permitted weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though activities interfering with traffic are restricted to the window of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Payment is processed 30 days after invoice receipt, with the City retaining up to 10 percent of the contract price as retainage.
