27-33 Purchase of Refrigerated Box Truck

The Bossier Parish School Board is soliciting proposals under RFP 27-33 for the purchase of a new refrigerated box truck to facilitate the delivery of goods to district schools and sites in Louisiana. The required vehicle must be new and operable without a Commercial Driver’s License, featuring a maximum 26,000 GVWR and 7,500 lb payload. Technical specifications include a 16-foot box with approximately 1,700 cubic feet of load space, a refrigeration unit capable of maintaining temperatures between -20 and 41 degrees, and a power liftgate with at least a 2,500 lb capacity. The engine must provide a minimum of 220 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque with an automatic transmission, specifically excluding natural gas, LPG, or electric options. While the initial intent is to purchase one unit, the board may purchase additional units over a five-year period. The contract will be awarded based on a weighted evaluation of pricing (50%), the proposed solution and delivery timeframe (40%), and the vendor's experience and references (10%). Proposals must be submitted by December 4, 2026, via Bid Express or hard copy to the Purchasing Department in Benton, Louisiana. All shipments are F.O.B. BPSB and must be delivered to the Central Warehouse. Payment is processed within 30 days of acceptance and receipt of an itemized invoice.
