27030-Q: Kenwood Road Multi-Use Path Project

Fayette County, Georgia, is soliciting Statements of Qualification (SOQ) for the Kenwood Road Multi-Use Path Project, which involves the engineering and design of approximately 1.9 miles of multi-use path primarily along the south side of Kenwood Road from Ashley Drive to Longview Road. The project is part of the county's High Injury Network and Safe Streets and Roads for All Action Plan, supporting the Vision Zero initiative. The selected consultant will provide services including roadway design, paths and trails development, environmental studies, utility coordination, public involvement, and traffic operations. All work must comply with GDOT Plan Development Process standards and Cobb County Pre-Construction Process and Procedure Manuals. The consultant may also be utilized for construction engineering and inspection activities to ensure compliance with specifications. The procurement process consists of two phases. Phase I evaluates the experience, qualifications, and workload capacity of the Project Manager, Key Team Leaders, and the Prime Consultant. Phase II focuses on the technical approach and past performance of shortlisted firms. Award is based on a ranking system, and the county will negotiate contract terms and fees with the top-ranked firm. Submissions must include a notarized Certification Form and a Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act Affidavit. The deadline for Phase I SOQs is September 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Requirements include a minimum of $1,000,000 in general and automobile liability insurance, as well as compliance with DOT Title VI and DBE assurances.
