The Town of Needham is soliciting sealed bids for on-call electrical services to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment for electrical repairs, installations, alterations, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance within town buildings and schools. The contract is scheduled to commence on January 1, 2027, and end on December 31, 2027, with the option for four yearly extensions through December 31, 2031. Financial protections include a performance bond for the full contract amount and a payment bond of 50% for contracts under $150,000 or 100% for those exceeding $150,000. The agreement is subject to M.G.L. Chapter 149 and M.G.L. Chapter 30 39M, and includes a thirty-day cancellation clause for improper service. Approval of performance is managed by the Director of Public Works or their designate.
