Contract FA8104-08-R-0007 is a procurement for compressor liners used in the rotor rear compressor assembly of TF33 aircraft engines. The required parts must be manufactured from AMS 6304 steel and meet specific dimensional requirements for the small end, large end, and length. The quantity requested ranges from a minimum of 48 to a maximum of 287 new or surplus units, with delivery beginning on or before April 30, 2008. Due to the criticality of the component, approved sources are limited to manufacturers who have successfully completed all required testing for this design or similar high-complexity items. While price is a significant factor, the final award decision considers a combination of price and past performance, including Red-Yellow-Green Program ratings. Interested small businesses are encouraged to contact United Technologies Corporation for subcontracting opportunities.
