AI Contract Overview

Tinker Air Force Base is facilitating competition for the procurement of F108 engine spare parts by accepting Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) source approval requests (SARs) from PMA holders. Interested parties must submit a Category IV SAR package in accordance with guidelines outlined in the Source Approval Information Booklet (SAIB), which is available on Tinker AFB's small business office website. While Tinker AFB is accepting SARs for all F108 parts, not limited to those listed in the provided attachment, it is emphasized that this effort seeks existing FAA-PMA approved parts rather than the development of new PMA parts. The government will not reimburse any costs incurred in preparing SAR packages, and only parts with FAA-PMA approval at the time of the announcement are being sought, reflecting previous year's procurement activity. PMA holders may consolidate SAR submissions for similar parts by coordinating directly with Tinker AFB via the provided email address. All PMA holders are encouraged to notify Tinker AFB of their intent to submit SAR packages, including details such as part numbers, PMA holder information, FAA-PMA approval type, first sale date, and estimated submission date. The primary contacts for source development and inquiries include the small business office at Tinker AFB and designated personnel Pleas Williams and Lisa West, with contact details provided for phone and email communications. This initiative corresponds to NAICS code 336412 and aims to maintain a competitive supply base for F108 engine components through accepted FAA-approved PMA parts.

Full Description

Tinker AFB supports competition through the use of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) parts. PMA Holders interested in becoming an approved source for any of the attached F108 spare parts must submit a Category IV Source approval request (SAR) package in accordance with the Source Approval Information Booklet (SAIB) available on the small business website; http://www.tinker.af.mil/sbo.asp. The USAF is accepting PMA SARs for all parts not just the one listed in the attachment. Costs incurred for the development of SAR packages are not reimbursable expenses by the Government. All parts on the attached list have had buy activities in the previous year. It is expected that not all parts on the attached list will have an FAA-PMA equivalent; the USAF is seeking those alternate parts for which FAA-PMA approval exists at the time of this publication. This is not a solicitation for new PMA part development. PMA Holders wishing to combine SAR packages for similar parts may contact e-mail contact@example.gov to propose group SARs, and all PMA Holders are encouraged to notify Tinker AFB at the aforementioned email of their intent to submit a SAR package. Such notification e-mails should state the parts for which SARs will be submitted, by whom (PMAH information), the FAA-PMA approval type (identicality or test and computation), date of first sale, and the estimated date of submittal. The point of contact for source development is the small business office: OC-ALC/BC, Attention: Source Development Office, 3001 Staff Drive, Suite 1AG185A, Tinker AFB, OK 73145-3009, +1 (555) 000-0000 or +1 (555) 000-0000 or email contact@example.gov. For inquiries instead of the point of contact below please contact Pleas Williams, +1 (555) 000-0000, email contact@example.gov, or Lisa West, +1 (555) 000-0000, Fax null, Email contact@example.gov
