This sole source, firm fixed price contract involves the procurement of aircraft seal supports for F 100/200 engines. The government intends to award the requirement under the Pratt and Whitney Corporate Contract to United Technologies Corporation, as they are the currently qualified source. The primary order is for 76 units to be delivered by June 30, 2010, though the total quantity range is specified between 1 and 114 units. Due to the complexity and criticality of the components, strict qualification requirements apply, limiting eligible sources to manufacturers who have completed specific design and testing protocols. Export control regulations are applicable to this procurement. The solicitation process began in December 2009, with an anticipated award date of February 26, 2010.
