N4215816RC60738 FLC Phila control No. 2016-1343. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Contracting Office intends to acquire one lot of components for marine machines. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with the Starrag USA of Hebron KY. Starrag USA is the original equipment manufacturer and the only known source certified to provide these components. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm fixed price contact will be awarded as a result of this request for quotations. This requirement in support of the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center Philadelphia PA is processed under FAR Part 13.501, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for certain commercial items.
