DLA Aviation Philadelphia is seeking contractors capable of providing the necessary labor, materials, and facilities to manufacture 34 units of a specified roller bearing (NSN 7RH 3110 014197975 DQ, P/N R1932E80/23058584/597423.MIL). The government plans to award this contract under FAR 6.302-1 by negotiating with a single source or a limited number of responsible sources, as it lacks the data to manufacture the item itself. This notice is a solicitation for capability statements rather than competitive proposals, with all interested and responsible sources encouraged to respond within 15 days of the notice’s publication. The government reserves the right to decide whether to compete based on the responses and will solicit only approved sources, which may require submitting additional documentation as part of the source approval process. The award schedule will not be delayed to await source approval, as these approvals typically take longer than the contract timeline allows. The procurement falls under NAICS code 332991 and is managed by the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support office located in Philadelphia, PA. Interested parties must submit their proposals along with any required source approval documentation referenced in the Source Approval Information Brochure for Spares. Further details and submission guidelines are provided through official Navy Supply websites, with a designated point of contact, Rebecca Weiss, available for inquiries. This streamlined approach is intended to facilitate timely procurement while ensuring that only qualified and capable vendors are considered for the manufacturing of this specific bearing component.
