***See Ammendment 002 in Attachments*** ***See Ammendment 001 in Attachments*** This Solicitation is for Smithsonian Institution's Tropical Research Institute (STRI) for the Replace & Reinforce Roof for Library, located at Earl S. Tupper Center, Republic of Panama. The Contractor receiving the award shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform construction services to complete the work as described herein and, in the Specifications, and Drawings for SF Project No. 2079202. All work shall be done in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and decrees of the Republic of Panama. The applicable North American Industry Classification Codes (NAICS) is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard is $45 million. This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. Construction Budget estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Prime Contractor must comply with SAM.gov and Panama Government's requirements. This is a Federal Funded Contract and the selected contractor must have an Unique Entity ID number and be actively registered and current in SAM System (https://sam.gov ). The Company or companies must be legally registered and licensed to operate as a Construction Company in the Republic of Panama with DGI - tax entity and the - JTIA -Junta Technical Board of Engineering and Architecture active and valid certification for at least 5 years from the date of this solicitation, be commercially and legally active at present time in the Republic of Panama, and have performed or is performing at least three (3) construction projects, with a minimum value of 2M, during the past three (3) years. Pre-Bid/Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit. The Conference is scheduled for Thursday August 08, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. thru Teams Meeting ID:?270 974 499 256 Passcode:?4nCyxq. The purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for SI to explain to all bidders the scope of the project. The Site tour is schedule for Friday August 09, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Earl S. Tupper Center. The purpose of the site tour is to provide an opportunity for all bidders to review the project site. This project requires special arrangements for access to a non-public area. Access to the site may be restricted at times other than during the scheduled visit. Any comments, information or discussion during the site visit shall not modify the contract documents.
