Full Description

Sources sought, Night Vision Image Intensification Tubes. The US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) is issuing this sources-sought Request for Information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in, and the capability to provide, image intensification (I2) tubes for PVS-14 and PVS-7 night vision devices. These I2 tubes are currently procured under the OMNI multi-award contract to L3Harris and Elbit of America. The current contract expires in 2021 but with remaining ceiling estimated to meet Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements for an additional 24 months. It is therefore the Government's intent to extend the period of performance of the OMNI contract for 24 months to the current awardees, for the sole purpose of meeting FMS requirements. There will be zero ceiling for non-FMS procurement in the 24-month extension. This Sources-Sought announcement seeks alternative providers able to manufacture I2 tubes to the same production qualification and production test regimes currently implemented by the OMNI contract.
