Notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6, subpart 6.302-1, the U. S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, Pine Bluff Arsenal Contracting Office intends to contract with Arkansas Packaging Products, Inc., 7701 Industry Dr., North Little Rock, AR 72117 on a sole source basis for: 1 each, Jet Pack 1000 printing systems with 1 two inch print head and shall include: 1 each 2" print head for second conveyor; 1 each controller for second conveyor; 1 each spare controller for backup; mounting brackets print heads and controllers; 2 each encoders with mounting brackets; 2 each photo eyes with mounting brackets; Prism integration charge; 2 each 3.5' Hytrol variable speed conveyors with variable speed guide rails; two year warranty on parts , 90 days on labor; contractor will install equipment and successfully operate equipment. FOB Destination. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the government's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to U. S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, Pine Bluff Arsenal Contracting Office, 10-020 Kabrich Circle, Bldg 17-120, CCRC-ISP, Attn: Richard Maxwell, Pine Bluff, AR 71602-9500. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone request will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. If no affirmative written response is received within 5 days from the publication of this synopsis, a purchase order may be issued to Arkansas Packaging, Inc. without further notice.
