MRG SFD TWO HYDRAULIC TRACKED MULCHERS

The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, through the Albuquerque Area Office and Socorro Field Division, is seeking potential vendors for the procurement of two new 2026 or newer track-mounted hydraulic masticators. These machines are intended for vegetation management, fire mitigation, right-of-way maintenance, and infrastructure protection. The equipment must be a current production model year at the time of award and possess characteristics equivalent to the FAE PT550 Tracked carrier. Key technical requirements include a minimum operating weight of 45,000 pounds, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with at least 500 hp and 12-liter displacement meeting EPA Tier 4 standards, and a multitask mulcher head with a minimum working width of 100 inches capable of shredding trees up to 18 inches in diameter. The hydraulic system must feature a minimum tank capacity of 150 gallons and a system pressure of at least 5000 psi. The procurement is envisioned as a firm fixed-price contract with a performance period of 180 days from the date of award. Delivery is required at the Socorro Field Division in New Mexico, and machines must be delivered fully fueled, serviced, and ready for immediate operation. Vendors must provide operator training, a complete set of replacement mulcher teeth, and comprehensive manuals and diagnostic tools. A critical requirement is the availability of authorized service, maintenance, and parts support within 150 miles of Socorro, NM.
