DESCRIPTIONThis is a synopsis using FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes only the synopsis. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 423830 - Industrial Machinery and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The Internal Revenue Service, Office of Business Operations, Midstates Branch, intends to purchase new, brand name or equal, equipment. The brand name or equal C & M specified equipment is required in order to fit in the existing construction of this building located at: 1201 Mitsubishi Parkway, Bloomington, IL. If the vendor intends on quoting a different brand of baler they must demonstrate it is equal to and will perform the intended functions of the C & M baler without modifications to the existing building. CLIN ITEMS Line Item (0001) (1) C & M Model 6046-AT28 Automatic Tie Baler, Open end horizontal single ram with new cart dumper; (0002) Removal of existing Moren Series 3000 baler and housing attached to building; (0003) Delivery and Installation of new C & M baler; (0004) On-site testing and training on new baler; (0005) 11 guage auto tie wire, product code 11GA AT. PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF QUOTES This award will be based on the lowest price / technically acceptable quote. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price order. At a minimum, responsible sources shall provide prices that show requested Line Items, Unit Prices, Extended Prices, Total Price, and Warranty. The Contractor shall deliver the complete quantity, FOB Destination to (1201 Mitsubishi Parkway, Bloomington, IL).
