(The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has the requirement for the supply and delivery of one (1) digital microscope. Seed identification and seed testing are critical to Canadian agriculture, seed production, and international trade. This identification and testing is based on visual inspection of seeds by highly-trained analysts, typically using conventional microscopes. The research division of the Seed Science and Technology Section of the Saskatoon Laboratory is concerned with improving seed testing through increasing our knowledge of seed morphology and exploring new testing technologies.)
