The government plans to award a sole source purchase order to TLD America for a closed loop plate adapter set, Part #1013956, which is essential for supporting the cooling requirements of nine ACE air conditioners. This procurement is being conducted without full and open competition under Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii) because only TLD America can fulfill the agency's specific needs. The closed loop capability is critical for proper cooling during aircraft ground testing, and there are no alternative suppliers or products that meet this requirement. The 55th Contracting Squadron will issue the purchase order based on this determination. This contract, referenced as "41 -- Sole Source Notice for Loop Plate Adapter Sets," is managed by the 55th Contracting Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Potential questions regarding this sole source procurement are to be directed to SSgt Theresa Davis via email or facsimile. This notice serves solely to inform about the intent to award the procurement and does not request competitive proposals. The unique technical requirement for the cooling system and the limited availability of the product justify the use of a sole source acquisition process in this case.
