The government intends to procure nine units of a specific compressor part designated as NSN 7H-4310-014507263-VM, TDP VER 004, with a reference number of 2KX2-30A/B, delivered FOB origin. The contract involves a sole-source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1, indicating that only one responsible source is being considered, although other capable sources may submit interest or proposals within the specified response period. The government does not possess the data rights necessary to purchase or repair this part from additional sources, making it uneconomical to acquire the data or reverse engineer the component. Interested parties can access relevant military and federal specifications, standards, and other standardized documents through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) or ASSIST-Online, with instructions provided for obtaining these documents. The notice emphasizes that this is a presolicitation for supplies, with a response deadline of May 30, 2025, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The government may decide whether to proceed with a competitive procurement based on responses received. Market research indicates that the government is not applying FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items, but interested entities can demonstrate their capability to fulfill the requirement within 15 days of the notice. The contract will be managed by the Department of Defense, specifically through the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with a designated point of contact for inquiries.

Request for Information: Additive Manufacturing
Solicitation # N0010427RZ058
The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support is conducting market research through Request for Information N0010427RZ058 to identify qualified sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering piece part components or entire assemblies using additive manufacturing methods. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can meet rigorous manufacturing, material, performance, testing, and quality assurance requirements. While the current focus is on a candidate list of National Item Identification Numbers for valves, actuators, and manifolds, the government anticipates that Level I and SUBSAFE items may become eligible for additive manufacturing in the future. Interested businesses must provide detailed administrative data, descriptions of their manufacturing capabilities, facility certifications such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, and evidence of past performance with similar military or commercial hardware. Additionally, the government is soliciting industry feedback on the development of objective evaluation criteria and the structuring of performance-based incentives for future Firm-Fixed-Price contracts. All produced components must be fully interchangeable with traditionally manufactured equivalents and strictly adhere to the baselines established in Project Peculiar Document 802-8436658. Responses are due by October 22, 2026.
