Full Description

On a SOLE-SOURCE basis, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT's) Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) plans to award a contract, purchase order or delivery order to Metro Technical Services for audio visual services in support of the 44th Annual Secretary Awards Ceremony. This contract will be awarded with a period of performance of November 1 - 3, 2011. These services will include leasing, installation, testing and operating Audio Visual production equipment for the awards ceremony, as well as additional services outlined in the attached Statement of Work. The estimated budget for this requirement is NTE $15,000.00. USDOT has no other option for providing the support services needed from Metro Technical Services because it is the only source that can provide the measure of expertise, independence, objectivity, and audience acceptance necessary to meet our program requirements. Due to unusual and compelling urgency the award for this year's support will go to Metro Technical Services. Although the Government will continue to evaluate, on an ongoing basis, any interest shown by sources interested in competing for this requirement on subsequent acquisitions, it is not expected that any vendor other than National Academy of Sciences will be able to provide this maintenance. Nevertheless, any entity, other than Metro Technical Services, which believes they can provide the needed services to OST, shall submit a capability statement to Pamala.millbrook.ctr@dot.gov no later than 12:00 PM EST on November 8, 2011. Your submission will be added to the vendor list for the upcoming BPA for Audio Visual Support services, maintenance and equipment purchase.
