This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Number: W912HQ-14-T-0020 - Request for Quotation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR 12.603 - Streamlined Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-76, effective 25 July 2014. The requirement is a small business set-aside for supplies needed for the Humphreys Engineer Center (HEC) under NAICS code 333318, Water Heaters, commercial-type, manufacturing. The size standard for this NAICS codes is 1000 employees. Description: Replacement of the hot water heaters in the basement of building 2591, 7880 Leaf Road, Alexandria, VA on the grounds of the Humphrey's Engineering Center (HEC). See the Purchase Description for additional details. Partial quotes will not be accepted. General Requirements: A description of the general requirements are provided below: 1. The replace the hot water heater with two gas-fired hot water heaters consists of the removal and disposal of one (1) existing domestic water heater. This will include removing the domestic hot water heat exchanger in the ceiling above and associated piping, and capping off remaining piping. 2. The contractor will furnish and install Furnish and install two (2) new A.O. Smith BTR-197gas fired domestic water heaters, or equivalent. 3. The contractor will connect to existing piping and power source (below ceiling). Furnish and install new flue pipe to properly vent heaters. Period and Place of Performance: The required supplies are to be delivered no later than 45 days after date of contract award. The delivery locations are provided in the attached Purchase Description document. Site Visit: A site visit will be held on Wednesday, 17 September 2014 from 11:00am - 12:00pm EDT. An Access Request Form must be filled out and submitted to the POC listed below no later than 3:00pm on Tuesday, 16 September 2014. Visitors are asked to meet at the Guards Desk in the Kingman building. Date, Time, and Place Offers are Due: The closing date for the delivery of a response to this combined synopsis/solicitation is on or before 1:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), on Monday, 22 September 2014.
