This contract is a notice of award for postage metering preventative maintenance services at Buckley AFB, Colorado, awarded to Pitney Bowes, Inc., a large business based in Spokane, Washington. The total contract value is 65,261.00 dollars under solicitation number FA2543-14-T-0011. Because the required services are commercial in nature, the acquisition is governed by FAR Part 12. The procurement was conducted as a sole-source acquisition, as justified by a non-competitive memorandum citing FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This determination was based on the fact that Pitney Bowes is the only source capable of providing the necessary support for the proprietary hardware and software of the Pitney Bowes Connect +3000 Mailing System, a conclusion supported by market research and outreach to five other vendors. Primary points of contact for the agreement are Ganeshwar Dhanraj and Nicholas Brazzale.
