4520--Building 24 Boiler

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Network Contracting Office 8, has issued a Sources Sought Notice to gather market research information for the procurement of a hot water boiler to be installed in Building 24 at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Florida. This notice is not a solicitation for bids or proposals but is intended to assess industry capabilities and determine the appropriate acquisition strategy. The boiler must meet specific technical requirements including a maximum dimension of 36” L x 30” W x 48” H, an ASME-stamped maximum allowable working pressure of 1034 kPa (150 psig), and full compliance with ASME BPVC Sections II, IV, VII, and IX, as well as OSHA, NFPA 85, and NFPA 70 standards. The contractor will be responsible for delivering, installing, and providing factory-certified startup and commissioning of the system, including one on-site meeting for utility connection guidance and a follow-up visit for final system commissioning. Delivery must occur within 90 days of purchase order issuance, with final startup completed within 90 days after installation, and all activities must adhere to the facility’s security protocols and safety requirements, including a strict no-smoking policy on campus. All respondents must be registered in SAM, provide their UEI and CAGE codes, confirm their small business status under NAICS code 333414 with a 500-employee size standard, and include manufacturer details, country of origin, estimated delivery lead time, and any existing government contracts.
