AI Contract Overview
The Marathon City School District is seeking proposals for Category 2 Internal Connections to support its Elementary, High, and Venture Academy locations. The project requires one high-performance firewall, preferably Fortinet or equivalent, capable of near 1 Gbps throughput with advanced security and appropriate power supplies. Additionally, the district requires approximately 80 wireless access points, preferably Meraki or equivalent, consisting of 75 internal and 5 external units. These WAPs must support WiFi 6/6E, OFDMA, and MU-Mimo, with a preference for 5 to 7 year licensing bundles. The scope also includes 80 mounting brackets and all necessary installation, configuration, and activation services. Vendors must submit a signed Proposal Overview document and provide detailed labor allocations for each service request. While the district may consider product capabilities and the overall fit of the service provider, the primary evaluation factor will be cost-effectiveness. Proposals that appear robotic or like spam will be disqualified. Interested parties should coordinate with the technical contact regarding local procurement regulations and ensure all software and licensing costs are included in the bid.

-Important Reminders to Service Providers/Vendors: -1. Read the Proposal Overview (file name: Proposal Overview 2BSIGNED Not an RFP) downloadable from the 470 application RFPS- -2. Once downloaded sign the Proposal Overview and name the file Proposal Overview - Service Provider (Actual Service Provider Name Inserted)- -3. Be sure to include this Proposal Overview file as an attachment to your submitted proposal to the district.- -4. Reminder: The 470 application provides the District's best estimate of the number of items we are seeking in the "Quantity" field in order to indicate to potential service providers the size and scope of our project in the 470. Service providers are free to propose a higher or lower number in their proposals based on their assessment of our needs, if the proposals are clearly responding to our needs as described in the FCC Form 470. Cat1 requests are a bit more restrictive, but can provide a range of defined bandwidths.- -5. The District will select the most cost-effective proposal. The price of the eligible products and services must be the primary factor in the evaluation, but does not have to be the sole factor. The District will also consider additional factors such as the capabilities of manufacturer products/services proposed. The most effective fit between the service provider and the District, from the District's perspective, will be considered. The service provider's actions to construct a proper proposal per the District's expectations will also be evaluated. The District may consider other factors at their discretion. The District values valid clinical communication that does not provide an unfair advantage over any other participating service providers. For emphasis again: Price will be the highest weighted factor in the evaluation of proposals.-
