AI Contract Overview
The Poynette School District is seeking proposals for Category 2 internal connections to support its elementary, middle, and high schools. The project requires approximately 18 uninterruptible power supplies, estimated at 2000VA or more, with a preference for Eaton or equivalent brands. Vendors should specify plug types, runtimes at various loads, and whether the units are rack or tower based, while considering lithium-ion or double-conversion online options. Additionally, the district requires approximately four Aruba or equivalent switches featuring at least 12 standard 1Gbps copper POE/POE+ ports and 4 uplink ports. These switches must support Layer 3 Lite static routing, standard VLAN functionality, and be non-blocking and full duplex. Proposals must include all necessary software, licensing, transceivers, and detailed costs for installation, configuration, and activation. Bidders are required to sign and attach the Proposal Overview document to avoid disqualification, and robotic responses will not be accepted. While the district may consider product capabilities and the overall fit of the service provider, the primary evaluation factor will be cost-effectiveness. All submissions must adhere to the district's procurement policies and be submitted by the December 31, 2025, deadline.

Reminder: The 470 application provides the District's best estimate of the number of items we are seeking in the "Quantity" field in order to indicate to potential service providers the size and scope of our project in the 470. Service providers are free to propose a higher or lower number in their proposals based on their assessment of our needs, if the proposals are clearly responding to our needs as described in the FCC Form 470. Cat1 requests are a bit more restrictive, but can provide a range of defined bandwidths.- -5. The District will select the most cost-effective proposal. The price of the eligible products and services must be the primary factor in the evaluation, but does not have to be the sole factor. The District will also consider additional factors such as the capabilities of manufacturer products/services proposed. The most effective fit between the service provider and the District, from the District's perspective, will be considered. The service provider's actions to construct a proper proposal per the District's expectations will also be evaluated. The District may consider other factors at their discretion. The District values valid clinical communication that does not provide an unfair advantage over any other participating service providers.
