AI Contract Overview
The Prentice School District is seeking proposals for Category 2 internal connections to upgrade network infrastructure across three campuses: an elementary, middle, and high school. The project requires approximately 35 WiFi 6/6E wireless access points and six 48-port POE/POE+ switches, preferably from Meraki or an equivalent manufacturer. Key technical specifications include OFDMA and MU-Mimo capabilities for access points, Layer 3 Lite static routing and VLAN functionality for switches, and the inclusion of necessary transceivers and at least 20 feet of DAC cabling for stacking. The district prefers five-year software licenses for both the access points and switches. Comprehensive installation, configuration, and activation services are required for all equipment. Vendors must submit a signed Proposal Overview document and clearly list manufacturers within their price proposals to avoid disqualification. While the district will consider product capabilities and the overall fit of the service provider, the primary evaluation factor will be cost-effectiveness. Proposals must be submitted by January 14, 2026, and must adhere to the district's specific procurement policies and administrative regulations.

-Important Reminders to Service Providers/Vendors: -1. Read the Proposal Overview (file name: Proposal Overview 2BSIGNED Not an RFP) downloadable from the 470 application RFPS. Note: remember to add the manufacturer to the line item in the price proposal, either in a separate column, or within the item description, if relevant.- -2. Once downloaded sign the Proposal Overview and name the file Proposal Overview - Service Provider (Actual Service Provider Name Inserted)- -3. Be sure to include this Proposal Overview file as an attachment to your submitted proposal to the district.- -4. Reminder: The 470 application provides the District's best estimate of the number of items we are seeking in the "Quantity" field in order to indicate to potential service providers the size and scope of our project in the 470. Service providers are free to propose a higher or lower number in their proposals based on their assessment of our needs, if the proposals are clearly responding to our needs as described in the FCC Form 470. Cat1 requests are a bit more restrictive, but can provide a range of defined bandwidths.- -5. The District will select the most cost-effective proposal. The price of the eligible products and services must be the primary factor in the evaluation, but does not have to be the sole factor. The District will also consider additional factors such as the capabilities of manufacturer products/services proposed. The most effective fit between the service provider and the District, from the District's perspective, will be considered. The service provider's actions to construct a proper proposal per the District's expectations will also be evaluated. The District may consider other factors at their discretion. The District values valid clinical communication that does not provide an unfair advantage over any other participating service providers. For emphasis again: Price will be the highest weighted factor in the evaluation of proposals.-
