The Federal Correctional Institution, Waseca, Minnesota will be issuing a solicitation to obtain subsistence food supplies. The contractor will provide a variety of subsistence food supplies for the food service department. All items must meet the National Menu Specifications as noted on the bid sheets. The National Menu Specifications will be used for determined awards. All items will be inspected closely. An order will be placed by an institution contracting officer to the contractor in writing, telephonically, or by fax or other acceptable means. The contracting officer will issue the contractor an identifying number which shall be identified on the invoice for payment. The contractor is to submit an invoice for any orders that are placed. All orders must ship complete; no partial shipments will be accepted. Prices submitted for items will be a "delivered price" to FCI Waseca Minnesota. Deliveries are to arrive at the receiving area (FCI Waseca warehouse) between 8:00am- 11:00am & 12:00pm - 2:45pm or at the discretion of the institution contracting officer or designee. Supplies shall be delivered Monday through Friday with the NO deliveries on Saturday and Sundays and federal holidays. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Waseca, Minnesota, will allow multiple awards after determining price and value. Due to administrative costs, the government reserves the right to make award to vendors with orders over $3,000.00. An assortment of some of the following items will be requested: , tortillas, cereals, vanilla, spices, sauces, mustard, beans, dressings, margarine, shortening, canned fruit, canned vegetables, napkins, cornmeal, cornstarch, flour, pasta noodles, rice, gelatin, jelly, sugar, relish, tomato paste, pickles, meats, and other dry or canned food items. Award is anticipated to be on, or after June 29, 2015 based on the availability of funds. The solicitation is available now and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
