The contract is a request for quotations issued by the United States General Services Administration (GSA) Hardware Super Store for the procurement of eight manual impact wrenches. These wrenches must be hand-operated with adjustable springs in the handle capable of producing various impact torque loads when the handle is rotated approximately 30 degrees. They are designed to loosen and tighten bolts ranging from 3/4 inch to 1-3/4 inch in diameter and must feature a 26-1/2 inch length with two 1-inch square drive tangs allowing for clockwise and counter-clockwise action. The wrench must meet specific performance criteria, including the ability to loosen a 1-3/4 inch steel bolt tightened to 2000 foot-pounds torque with a maximum pull force of 75 pounds on the handle. Each wrench must be accompanied by a handbook containing operation and maintenance instructions and be marked permanently with the manufacturer's part number and identifying symbols. Suppliers are requested to provide firm pricing valid for five months with delivery terms FOB Destination. Packaging and marking should comply with standard commercial practices and Federal Standard 123 requirements. This solicitation explicitly states it is not an offer but a request for quotes, and there is no commitment from the Government to cover submission costs or to award a contract. The contracting office provides contact information for Renita Strickland for further inquiries, and the request allows for indication if a supplier cannot provide a quote. Additional details such as discount terms, minimum and maximum order quantities, taxpayer identification, and business size must be included with responses.
