Full Description

Model Fabrication Branch, Code 3613, of the Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCCD) is responsible for the building submarine models. In support of this effort, NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and award a firm-fixed price purchase order to Faro Technologies Inc.; for the FARO Laser scanner measuring system and Geomagic software. Faro Technologies Inc is the manufacturer of the FARO Laser scanner measuring system; therefore, it will be more cost efficient to purchase the FARO-Geomagic technology than to use a third party software. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may forward their capabilities statements to the Governm! ent POC on or before 8/29/2006.
