The US Army Aviation and Missile Command is seeking to procure protective dust and moisture seal caps for the HELLFIRE Missile System. The government intends to negotiate this contract with Midwest Plastic Components, Inc., as it lacks the technical data package and documentation required to solicit from other sources. The initial requirement is for 161 units, with two option years providing for minimums of 108 and 79 units and maximums of 270 and 197 units, respectively. Delivery is expected within 75 days of the contract award. Interested firms must be approved and qualified to bid, and foreign entities are required to process requests through their respective embassies. While the government has provided a historical unit price of 314.23 dollars from 2006 for informational purposes, it does not serve as a basis for current bids. Potential subcontractors are encouraged to contact the primary firm, and other capable manufacturers are invited to seek source approval through the official Redstone Army website to compete for future requirements.
