The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, plans to establish a Basic Ordering Agreement with Raytheon Company based in Tucson, Arizona, for the supply of spare parts essential for the maintenance and overhaul of various Laser Guided Bombs, specifically the Paveway II and Paveway III series, including MK 82, MK-83, and MK 84 models. Due to Raytheon's exclusive proprietary rights to all relevant drawings and specifications, this procurement will be handled on a sole-source basis under the Federal Acquisition Regulation's exception to full and open competition. The agreement is set for a three-year term with two additional one-year extension options, allowing for periodic reviews and synopses to ensure compliance and performance. This contract supports critical defense operations by ensuring the availability of necessary components to maintain advanced guided munitions. While Raytheon holds the proprietary information enabling supply, the Naval Surface Warfare Center encourages all responsible sources to inquire about terms and conditions, indicating an openness to consider alternative input where feasible. The contract is managed from Crane, Indiana, with Randy White serving as the primary point of contact for further details. The arrangement underscores the department's commitment to sustainment of key military assets through a streamlined contracting process that balances competition rules with proprietary constraints.
