The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), a component of the Defense Logistics Agency under the Department of Defense, plans to extend its existing contract SP0500-04-D-0239 with Hesco Bastion, Ltd. This indefinite quantity contract covers the supply of Concertainer Defense Walls, which are essential for supporting Army and Marine operations. The extension will span eight months, from February 11, 2007, through October 11, 2007, allowing continuity of supply while a new unrestricted procurement initiative is underway. The estimated value of this extension is approximately $150 million, based on current contract data and usage. Hesco Bastion, Ltd., as the incumbent contractor, will retain the contract to avoid any disruption in the supply of these defense items critical for military applications. The contract maintains the focus on procurement under NAICS code 332312, related to fabricated structural metal manufacturing. For further inquiries or contract management matters, Lesley F. Fuller serves as the contracting specialist and can be contacted directly. The extension ensures ongoing operational support for the military while allowing additional time for the pending new contract acquisition process.
