56--Intent to Sole-Source

The National Park Service, Northeast Region - New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, on behalf of Weir Farm National Historic Site Wilton, CT 06801, contemplates negotiating and awarding, on a sole-source basis, a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Mine Hill Quarry Inc., 879 Silvermine Rd., New Canaan, CT 06840-4333. If the Government makes an award, the Government will make the award under the authority and guidance of Federal Acquisition Regulation Parts 12 and 13. The National Park Service proposes to use Mine Hill Quarry Inc. as a sole-source to satisfy the requirement to provide a mock-up of a new walkway and furnish and deliver granite pavers, Roxbury granite (phaneritic gneissoid muscovite granite), in sizes and shapes specified by the National Park Service. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested firms, or persons, may identify their interest and capability to furnish and deliver granite pavers, Roxbury granite (phaneritic gneissoid muscovite granite). Responses shall be submitted no later than 2:00pm August 29, 2013 Eastern (oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice) to contact@example.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
