The U.S. Department of the Interior’s U.S. Geological Survey Columbia Environmental Research Center intends to award a sole source contract to Innovasea for the procurement of specific acoustic telemetry transmitters and receivers. This acquisition is justified on the basis that only Innovasea can provide the necessary equipment to meet the agency’s requirements, including models such as the HR2-180kHz High Residency Receiver, NexTrak R1 Transponding Acoustic Receiver with battery, V9 180 kHz Transmitter, and V9 Transmitter with Pressure Sensor. The action will be conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), allowing negotiation with a single source without competition. This notice is strictly for informational purposes and does not constitute a request for quotes or bids. However, other responsible parties interested in demonstrating their capability to supply the specified equipment are encouraged to submit a written capability statement by the specified deadline. Submissions must be detailed and cost-free, supporting the responder’s bona fide ability to fulfill the requirement, and must be sent via email to the designated contact. The government reserves full discretion in determining whether to proceed with sole source negotiations or cancel the requirement, and no verbal or phone inquiries will be accepted. The NAICS code associated with this procurement is 334290, covering other communications equipment manufacturing.
