AI Contract Overview

The Department of Defense is conducting a market survey to identify additional suppliers for spare parts for the AN/TPX-46A(V) IFF Interrogator Set. These components will be procured under a five year IDIQ contract. Because government drawings are outdated due to obsolescence and undocumented technical changes, the government cannot warrant their adequacy, and no government furnished equipment is available. Interested suppliers must demonstrate that their items are physically and functionally interchangeable and operate properly within the end item. Responses must include supporting documentation such as test results, previous purchase orders, or statements from the current source, BAE Systems Aerospace Inc. The survey covers fourteen specific part numbers with varying quantities. All responses must be submitted to the Commander, USACECOM at Fort Monmouth, NJ, by June 17, 2003.

The Product Manager Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems (PdM WESS), through the Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, is seeking a commercial-off-the-shelf Digital Intermediate Frequency Subsystem (DIFS) to modernize satellite communications ground infrastructure. The objective is to replace legacy analog L-Band systems with a flexible, open-standard, modular architecture compliant with the DIFI standard to enhance resilience and interoperability. The primary deliverable is a Full-Scale Engineering Development DIFS first article, with subsequent options for production units. The government intends to award one FAR Part 12 commercial contract, with the possibility of additional Other Transaction Authority awards, with an estimated award timeline in the first quarter of 2027.
