Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to procure a specialized set of hardware components from Apogee Labs, Inc., including various MUX and DEMUX outputs, concatenated interface inputs and outputs, and dual channel ethernet modules. These items are required to support telemetry and radar missions for NASA DFRC. The procurement is being handled as a sole-source acquisition because Apogee Labs is the only manufacturer capable of meeting the specific technical requirements and providing the necessary engineering support and proprietary tooling for the AL4302 configurable systems. The government plans to acquire these commercial items under FAR Part 12. While Apogee Labs has been identified as the sole responsible source, interested organizations were given the opportunity to submit their capabilities and qualifications by June 20, 2012, for the government to determine if the procurement should be conducted on a competitive basis. The solicitation is identified by number AAI080975-12-009 and falls under NAICS code 334511.
