The United States Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) proposes to enter into a five-year, Time and Materials (T&M)/Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Overhaul and Repair (O&R) services and associated spare parts for the AN/ARS-6(V) Personnel Locater Set (PLS), National Stock Numbers: (10) 5821-01-251-8685, 5821-01-245-9095, 5895-01-236-8964, 5821-01-245-9067, 5821-01251-8683, 5975-01-299-3433, 5821-01-251-9555, 5821-01-252-5441, 5821-01-251- 9556, 5821-01-324-5906. This procurement is a limited source acquisition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The acquisition is limited to Cubic Defense Systems (CDS), San Diego, Cal ifornia 92123. Cubic Defense Systems is the only capable source of providing required O&R services and associated spare parts of the PLS. CDS maintains configuration management of the PLS, and is the only company with the drawings, specifications, and Acc eptance Test Procedures (ATP), required to build and repair this item. The estimated maximum price for this contract is for up to $15 million.
