58--Band 5/6 Replacement Amplifier for the AN/ALQ-99(V) Tactical Jamming System

This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. This requirement is for the acquisition of a replacement for the amplifiers used in the AN/ALQ-99(V) Tactical Jamming System's Band 5/6 Transmitters, which currently utilize Traveling WaveTubes (TWT). A replacement amplifier is required for the Band 5/6 Driver TWT (DTWT) and 5/6Output TWT (OTWT). The Government intends to replace the TWTs with solid-state amplifieridentified as TWT Replacement Modules (TRMs). The Band 5/6 Driver TWT (DTWT) and the 5/6Output TWT (OTWT) will be replaced by a single amplifier - the Band 5/6 TRM Assembly(TRMA). It is anticipated that a Cost Plus Firm-Fixed contract will be awarded. The drawings andspecifications contain information that has been designated as Militarily Critical Technical Data.Prospective contractors must be certified under the Joint Certification Program in an active statusand must posses a minimum of a secret facilities clearance in order to receive the technicalpackage. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the Central ContractorRegistry (CCR). Inspection and acceptance will be at source by the cognizant DCMA. Delivery isrequired FOB Destination. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor on thebasis of best value considering technical/management, past performance and price relatedfactors.
