The contract involves the procurement of three units of a specific military component identified by NSN 7H-5895-016767828, with delivery terms FOB origin. The item is associated with the TDP version 001 and is designated for repair or modification under a total small business set-aside, indicating that only small businesses are eligible to participate. The Department of Defense, through the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Support in Mechanicsburg, PA, is seeking responses from responsible sources that can demonstrate their capability to supply or support this requirement. The solicitation emphasizes that the government intends to negotiate solely with one source under FAR 6.302-1, but all interested parties are encouraged to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the notice, which may be considered for future competitive procurement. Access to relevant technical and standardized documents, such as military specifications, standards, and qualified products lists, can be obtained from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via the DAPS in Philadelphia or through online resources like ASSIST-Online. The notice clarifies that this is not a request for competitive proposals but an intent to identify capable sources for a sole-source contract. The procurement aims to support military readiness by ensuring the availability of specialized parts, with the potential for future competition depending on market response and capability submissions.
