The contract involves the repair and modification of four transmitter units designated for Australia, specifically for the F-18 aircraft, with part number 2687400G001 and NSN 7R5865016242972. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, and facilities to restore these government-owned articles to operational condition, including low, medium, and high-level repairs. The government intends to award the contract on a sole-source basis to L3 Harris Technologies Inc., under FAR 6.302-1, due to the lack of available data for repairs or manufacturing, and source approval is a prerequisite that will not delay the award process. Interested responsible sources may submit capability statements within five days of the synopsis publication, although the government reserves the right to determine whether to compete the contract based on responses. Contractors must submit the required source approval information if not already approved. The solicitation, posted on May 21, 2025, with a response deadline of June 23, 2025, emphasizes that this is a combined solicitation for repair services, and all proposals should include the completed DD1155 form.
