The contract involves a forthcoming modification to an existing agreement for the AN/ALR-69A Upgrade program, specifically focusing on the F-16 integration segment. This modification aims to address revised requirements due to expanded software scope stemming from the aircraft's avionics interface, correcting previous assumptions that were based on the C-130 software interface with minimal software development. The effort includes conducting requirement studies and generating a rebaseline proposal to accommodate growth and correct earlier deficiencies in integration. Raytheon Company, located in Goleta, CA, is the sole qualified source for this work, as the Government intends to limit competition based on the authority granted under 10 U.S.C 2304(C)(1). The upgrade effort is part of a design and development phase currently underway with Raytheon. This notice of intent allows interested parties to express their interest and capability, though it is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government retains full discretion regarding whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future based on the information received. The contract falls under NAICS code 334511 and is managed through a contract specialist, Cheryl W Janssen, who can provide further details. The modification reflects the ongoing commitment to enhance avionics integration for the F-16 as part of the ALR-69A Upgrade.
