Full Description

This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to the Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. The intended order will provide for a total of twelve night vision goggles for avionics use. Aviation Specialties Unlimited is the exclusive authorized dealer and trainer for ITT Night Vision aviation night goggles and accessories. The night vision equipment provided by Aviation Specialties Unlimited have been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration for use by aircraft pilots. The night vision goggles are AN/AVS-9 type goggles with Pinnacle Grade intensifier tubes. There are no other aviation certified night vision goggles on the market that meet these requirements. As a result Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. is the only responsible source to provide the necessary equipment to support aviation needs.
