AI Contract Overview

The contract involves the procurement of eight cable assembly units identified by NSN 1H-5995-016527628-X3, with Technical Data Package version 003. Deliveries are designated to two locations: DLA Distribution centers in New Cumberland, PA, and San Joaquin, Tracy, CA. The contract is issued to Adirondack Electronics Inc., based in Round Lake, NY. This is a sole-source procurement wherein the government intends to negotiate exclusively with one source, although interested parties may express interest or submit quotes prior to award consideration. Responses will help the government decide whether to open the procurement to competition, but the decision to limit competition rests solely with the government. The government maintains full rights to the technical data, confirming the completeness of the data package without restrictions related to technical data, engineering, tooling, or manufacturing. Unlike other acquisition categories that might suggest limited competition when multiple sources exist but lack data package completeness, this contract’s category suggests potential for full and open competition. The contracting office is located in Mechanicsburg, PA, under the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, with Brianna Walker as the point of contact. The contract solicitation is in the presolicitation stage and further information is accessible via the provided government portal.
