Full Description

NA We will have a requirement over the next year to purchase several die that are available only from National Semiconductor, the original equipment manufacturer for the die. The die is the basic component for the Combined Interfaces with Controlled Output ( CINCO-II) application specific integrated circuit (ASIC). The CINCO-II ASIC is used in the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) key data processor. The SAASM is the next generation GPS that is currently under development by the GPS Advance d Security Devices NAVSTAR GPS Joint Program Office. White Sands Missile Range purchases these die as requirements are identified and stores them in our long-term nitrogen storage facility until they are needed by one of the developers. During this time frame, we will compete our requirements between Chip Supply, Orlando, FL and Semi Dice Inc, South Easton, MA who are the only approved distributors for these die. No additional notifications of individual purchases will be provided. See Note 22. (If you believe that you can provide these components you must respond to this synopsis prior to 2:00 PM MDT, 6 Sep 2002.
