36C25019Q1265 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Audio/Visual Equipment The Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)-Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 335999 with a small business size standard of 500. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Point Breeze Communications, Inc 1417 State Route 118 Sweet Valley, PA 18656. The Cleveland VAMC is requesting audio/visual technology to be used in the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Dining Room and to work in conjunction with the scan-echo teleconferencing equipment currently deployed in the each of the conference rooms throughout the medical center. All previous upgrades have been performed by Point Breeze Communications, and the medical center is currently standardized on Point Breeze equipment. All equipment and software must be compatible to ensure seamless integration. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Wednesday August 7, 2019 at 11AM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. - All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
