AI Contract Overview
This contract is a sole source solicitation issued by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia for the repair of three units of the SMART MULTIFUNCTION system, identified by NSN 5999 015687043 and part number 267A750-3. The procurement is linked to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case SR-P-MAL and categorized as a Critical Application Item, requiring government source approval prior to award. Due to the lack of sufficient data in government possession to contract with other sources, the contract will be awarded under an existing Blanket Ordering Agreement. Compliance with applicable Free Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement is noted. The contract specifies an induction period of 365 calendar days from the award date for the initial units, with an option to extend for an additional 365 days, allowing unused induction slots to carry over. Pricing proposals must include option pricing for up to ten units over the contract period, with separate pricing if rates change after the first year. The government holds the right to place orders for any number of units up to the specified maximum, and total contract value will be based on the highest proposed unit price multiplied by that maximum quantity. Potential offerors must submit all required data as outlined in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure to be considered. The point of contact for this solicitation is Dana Scott.
