The US Army Communications Electronics Command is conducting a market survey to identify sources capable of producing a Form, Fit, and Functionally equivalent Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT) Senior. This specialized UHF SATCOM and Line of Sight secure intelligence dissemination terminal is designed to deliver time-sensitive battlefield targeting information to tactical commanders in near real time. Key technical requirements include support for 8 to 12 receive channels and up to 4 transmit channels, integration of CIBS-M hardware and software building blocks, and compatibility with various legacy IBS waveforms and the JTRS Software Communication Architecture. The system must also include an NSA approved INFOSEC module and be interoperable with TRIXS, IBS-I, IBS-S, TADIXS-B, and UHF General Purpose Link networks. Interested respondents must demonstrate the technical, production, and program management expertise necessary to meet the JTT System Specification. The contract requires a delivery timeline of 15 months following the award, with a production ramp-up to at least 18 units per month. Because the government does not own the original production drawings or software source codes from the original equipment manufacturer, Raytheon Network Centric Systems, applicants must prove their ability to deliver and support the equipment while satisfying all validation and certification testing. Responses detailing these capabilities were due by July 30, 2004.
