The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Barco Federal Systems LLC for the procurement of 25 Barco PMC Target Extractor Assemblies. These components are essential elements of the Ships Self Defense System SSDS MK2 Open Architecture fielding requirements. Market research conducted during the engineering development of the tech-refresh solution determined that no other replacement products are suitable alternatives. The government has identified Barco Federal Systems LLC as the only source capable of satisfying the minimum requirements for this procurement. Utilizing an alternative product would negatively impact equipment integration efforts and potentially delay ship deployment schedules. This acquisition is managed by the Department of Defense under solicitation number N0017810R1053.
